Site 3: Collecting
The third site was within "spittn' distance" of the second. Members proceeded to Site #3 from Site #2 when they were ready, as shown in the picture below. Most called it a day after the second site.
The handful of diehards who went onto the third site were treated to a nice exposure of the Lower Whitewater formation up to and and including the middle Whitewater Saluda member. Bill Heimbrock provided some site notes from the Miami University 1977 Field Guide, where this site was described by Helen B. Hay.
